Jean Paul will launch a line for Target!
It has been confirmed that Jean Paul Gaultier is designing a line for Target to launch next spring. It will be available in more than 250 stores and Target.com on March 7. The collection will be on sale through April 11, so get it while it's hot!
Gaultier will be the third prominent designer to do a collection for the mass retailer. Each designer prior had chosen an influence for their line. Alexander McQueen chose Leila Moss, and Anna Sui reflected the style of the characters of Gossip Girl in her collection.
After working closely with Madonna it is not surprising that Gualtier's line "pays tribute to the American woman, celebrating the forces of style both past and present in American pop culture.”
Gaultier is known for pushing the envelope on the runway, especially when it comes to overtly displaying the sexuality of high fashion (have you seen those pointy cone bras?!).
What do you think he'll come up with for Target? [Image Source]
